Am ready to take over the stewardship of Kirinyaga County- Kibiru

Senator Charles Kibiru says he is readying himself to take over the stewardship of the agriculturally  rich Kirinyaga County  .

He said the ship has already ran aground into the deep of sea of gross mismanagement   due to lack of a good navigator .

Kibiru who is also the outgoing area Senator assured  the local residents that under his watch they  will have a say of how they would  want to be guided .

Speaking exclusively during a morning TV show at a local station  , Kibiru said come August 9 when the residents will vote him in as their third governor , the county  will  change  for better .

“I can assure our people that with the many resources the county is endowed with , I will be able to transform it into another Singapore within the next five years after which our people can live  in dignity ,”he said.

He said with the area Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri as his Co- navigator  , the country will start several industries   especially the value addition  ones primarily for agricultural products    since the area  is  basically  dependent on farming.

Kibiru further took the opportunity to clear Ndambiri  from being party to the current mess the county was in since he was edged  out of  office  by his boss Anne Waiguru soon after they took leadership in  2017.

The  Senator who was elected as an Independent candidate in 2017 will be unseating Waiguru   on a Jubilee ticket affiliated to the Azimio and added that he has  been on the government side whose  operations he now understands.

He said unlike other leaders who come up with their manifesto which  they impose  on the people , his approach will be  totally different since  iys the people  who will compose his .

“My manifesto will  be composed and written by the area residents  according to the needs of each of the 20 area Wards  while my main task will be to implement it to the letter depending on the availability of resources and priorities cited by the people ,” he said.

Ndambiri comes from the vote rich Mwea Sub- County  while Kibiru hails from Ndia Constituency making their combination a formidable political force .
