
Government deploys vehicles to enhance security
Interior PS Karanja Kibicho flags off some of the 15 security vehicles Kirinyaga County has received from the goverment to enhance seurity in the area during and after the general welections at Mutitu Administrtsion center over the weekend.
The Government has deployed 15 more vehicles in all the Four sub-Counties in Kirinyaga County in an effort to enhance Security in the area .
The vehicles of various makes were distributed by the Interior PS Dr Karanja Kibicho who said this time round security had been beefed up ahead of the Tuesday general elections .
Speaking at Mutitu market in Kirinyaga Central Sub-county where he launched the vehicle distribution exercise , Kibicho said the entire nation was well secured and no one should fear to go and vote come Tuesday.
Accompanied by area MP Munene Wambugu the PS urged locals to vote wisely and shun out those vying on parties which have no development agenda.
“As one of you am pleading with you that you will only elect a leader who will be able to work hard in hand with the national government especially those running on Azimio affiliated parties which is certainly going to carry the day,”he said .
Wambugu is one such parliamentary candidate who is defending his seat on a Jubilee ticket while his rival Gachoki Gitari is the UDA contender .
Kibicho on that note said it was now clear the voters were fully aware of which side of the toast had been buttered and told off those bashing him for carrying out an elaborate civic education aimed at equipping the voters with the right and correct information .
Said Kibiciho ,” I do not see anything wrong with my involvement in the provision of civic education to our people on how to make an informed decision on who to elect on Tuesday,”.
Wambugu on his part urged the electorate to give him a second chance to lead them and also enable him complete his flagship projects .
He is credited for having transformed all area primary and secondary schools into habitable institutions with the prerequisite learning environment within his first term.
The first time legislator has also sunk boreholes in all te schools without water supply while he has also allowed the neighboring such facilities to access the water , something that has never been witnessed in the area before.
