Havilla Resort ready to accommodate guests
Havilla Resort an ultra-modern facility is ready to accommodate guests who will be attending this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kirinyaga County.
The facility which is an International Olympic site for Kayaking and canoeing is within Mwea West Sub-County and well connected with tarmac roads that lead to the Wanguru stadium, the venue of the fete.
The site was identified and declared during the 2005 championships held at the facility which is on the banks of the voluminous Sagana river (river Tana ), which also serves as the boundary between Kirinyaga and Muranga Counties .
According to the facility proprietor Alexander Chege , guests can either board in the state of the arts rooms on tented camps with strict observance of the required covid – 19 protocols.
Chege said all the necessary measures required to stop and contain any spread of the corona virus had been put in place to ensure the guests arrived , stayed and left being safe .
“Our facility is situated in an open spacious environment is in strict conformity with all the guidelines issued by the government through the ministry of health on Covid – 19 prevention and spread and wish to assure our esteemed guests of maximum protection right from our employees to our facility ,” Chege said.
He also said the facility having been identified as one of the hospitality service provider had been registered with the relevant authorities as required .
“Our guests will be able to do or watch kayaking and canoeing as water sport within the facility , enjoy the wonderful climate and breeze from the voluminous Sagana river which snakes and meanders through the rocky terrain ,”the proprietor said.
From the Resort, it will take the guests only 20 minutes to drive comfortably to the Wanguru stadium where the fete will be held in a few days from now and thereafter drive back to this touristic haven within the slopes of the Mt Kenya forest , “he said .
Bike sports and children related recreational facilities are also available for those wishing to bring their children along.
