
Kabare Girls Reclaims Glory in KCSE
Kabare Girl’s High school in Kirinyaga County has made proud the area residents and the country at large for posting impressive KCSE examination results.
The school recorded a mean score of 8.8512 up from 8.436 for the 2019 examination .
It also recorded a University transition of 92.15 per cent as compared to 88 per cent for the 2019 results .
Schools Board of Management says it was grateful to the Principal Madam Lillian Muhuni who had done marvelously well despite the Covid- 19 pandemic challenges .
“As you are all aware the students were unable to sit for their examination as from October last year after the outbreak of the covid pandemic which forced the government to have the examination carried forward to March this year hence the unpredicted loss of momentum by the candidates but despite which they still excelled , “said Abel Muriithi the BOM Chairman.
The school which enjoys a National status had 242 candidates all qualifying for University entrance save for 18 who scored between C plain and 1 D plus and who is still set to join any tertiary institution hence the 92.15 per cent transition rate.
As compared to the 2019 results and last year, five students in both years posted grade A while grade A – was 13 and 31 respectively .
“These impressive results can only be attributed to the serious commitment to academic excellence by our devoted teachers led by their able team captain madam Lillian “the official said.
Muriithi said despite the examination having been held at an odd time in history, the students were determined to conquer the pandemic and posted the good grades better than the previous year which did not have the challenge.
It has also emerged the institution has seven streams right from Form One to Form Four hence the over 200 candidates in the last two consecutive years .
The school administration says there adequate infrastructure in place to cater for the large number of students , thanks to the able BOM which is always ready to provide the teachers with what they required to enable them deliver .
“Hoping this pandemic will soon be conquered we assure parents of our total commitment to our noble calling of transferring and impacting knowledge to the children , “the school administration affirmed.
