
Kaluyu back to the presidential race
Dr Jeff Kaluyu who caused jitters in the political scene during the 2017 presidential elections is back at the scene promising surprises in the race to the house of the hill.
Kaluyu who ran as an Independent candidate was little known but hi entry into the race raised eyebrows said this time round he was optimistic to capture the seat.
Under the banner ‘We the People’, said his candidature was meant to take Kenyans back to where it was economically, socially and politically.
“Our mission is take us back , and I can assure and promise Kenyans that once we are elected to take this great country ahead , our people will no longer regret since our team has what it takes to get the people back,” said the contender.
A section of worshipers who were among those who joined a day long pilgrimage around mountain kenya this morning while conducting traditional prayers when they made a stop over at the Samson's Corner , Kirinyaga County.
Speaking at Samson’s corner in Kirinyaga County this morning where he joined pilgrims who were conducting traditional prayers this morning Kaluyu whose Ph.D is on policy and research said more than ever before the country required peace and tranquility.
“In order for Kenya to get to greater heights of prosperity it is only through our generation this can be realised while those who have been there for decades should hung their towels and exit from the national political arena, “he said.
Kaluyu said although he was yet to announce his vehicle to the presidency it was obvious it will be a political party unlike in 2017 when he ran as an independent.
The pilgrims included locals from various traditional and modern set ups to international ones who came all the way from Germany and the USA .
David Mario from the USA said the prayers were unique in that the pilgrims were aiming at only one goal, peace.
Some of the international faithful who turned up for the annual traditional prayers at the Samson's Corner ,Kirinyaga County before proceeding on the day-long pilgrimage this morning.
Another foreigner at the pilgrimage was Nyanion from the Switzerland who described the event as similar to that held in Meca by the Muslim fathful .
