Kanu official seeks for judicial surgery
The Judiciary should undergo an urgent radical surgery to redeem it's lost glory,a KANU official has said.
Tharaka/Nithi County KANU branch branch chairman Peter Ndatho wondered how Kenyans could trust the judiciary which has some of its officers being implicated in corrupt practices.
"Several Judges have so far been associated or implicated with corruption matters and inorder to restore the lost glory of this crucial arm of the government,a radical surgery is required urgently ," the official said.
Speaking to the Mountain Times on phone from his Marimanti base this evening ,Ndatho also claimed the unceremonial withdrawal of the IEBC from the government multiagency committee on the general elections was a well coreagraphed by some politicians with vested interest.
"Wafula Chepkati is a project of a certain powerful politician hence his untimely announcement of the withdrawal of the IEBC which he chairs from the Committee on the grounds that the commission would be seen as partisan instead of a referee,"he said .
He accused the said politician of using Chebukati as his project during the forthcoming general elections and have the results tilted in his favour .
Ndatho has further urged the EACC to flex it's muscles and bar anyone facing corruption charges from taking part in next year's general elections.
" The EACC in conjunction with the IEBC should ensure that any one with an active criminal case and is still in office does not get clearance to seek for re_election or seek for any other elective position until the pending matters were heard and concluded,"the official stated .
He said unless the two independent bodies flexed their muscles and have such a calibre of politicians were locked out from holding public offices ,the country would remain ridden with corrupt leadership .
