Little known Green Vine schools shakes giants
KCPE candidates from Green vine primary school , Kirinyaga East Sub-County who were among the best in the county
Little known Green Vine Primary school in Kirinyaga East Sub- County has shaken well established education giants after it posted encouraging KCPE results .
The school established a few years ago lies to the southern outskirts of Kianyaga town right next to the Kutus- Kianyaga road .
Victor Muriithi Ngeche made the school proud after he scored 384 marks followed by Mercy Joyce Nyambura who scored 354 marks .
Other candidates who performed well were Chritine Murugi Waruguru who scored 351 marks followed by Lincon Dereva Muriithi who managed 349 marks with Jutus Nyaga Kabengi scoring 341 marks .
Parents whose children performed well have however urged the government to ensure all candidates were treated equally and fairly during the forthcoming Form One selections .
“The government should ensure children were selected to join national schools purely on merit and the notion that there are public and private school children should not be entertained at all,” said a parent .
In the past , the parent added ‘’ we have seen outright discrimination where preference on form one selection was done in four of children from public schools while their private schools counterparts were left out despite having posted impressive KCPE results ,”.
The school has both boarding and day facilities and enjoys a serene environment coupled by an adjacent tarmac road .
