
National exams
All the two national examinations (KPSEA AND KCPE ) kicked off smoothly in Kirinyaga County while the KCSE praticals continued in earnest .
As for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment the county has a total of 331 centers with the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education has 327.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education has a total of 162 Centres according to the County Education Director Of Education Didacus Odhiambo .
In the KPSEA a total of 12,524 candidates began their examinations across the county an examination that has created anxiety since it has heralded the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).
The KCPE examination has 13304 candidates just slightly over those of the KPSEA while those siting for the KCSE are 39025.
The weather has been cool since morning making the environment conducive to the annual practice .
By press time , the exams were still going on without any reported hitch while Odhiambo has commended the candidates and wished them well for their good conduct.
The media could not be allowed into the examination centers except at the periphery to avoid any element of stealing the exam .
