Pastors shift allegiance to Ngirici

The Mt Kenya Yes Pastors Forum has shifted its allegiance from the  Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to her rival Wangui Ngirici.

The Forum claimed   Waiguru had declined to face reality  on the ground  and opted to stay aloof .

Through its chairman Archbishop Dr Daniel Njagi , the Forum accused Waiguru of having neglected the very voters who had  put her to power  in August 2017.

“Despite our numerous attempts to  reach Waiguru , she has continued to  stay aloof instead of coming down to be with the people who overwhelmingly voted for her . It is on this ground that we have from  this  morning shifted our allegiance and support to her for Wangui ,”the Cleric said.

In a hastily convened  press conference at the Sifa Gardens  Resort , Kutus town the Forum said it would rather work with Wangui whose presence has been felt right at the grass roots .

Added the Cleric “ since Waiguru  does not see the need to interact with the people at the grassroots to understand their  tribulations and sufferings  , like Wangui we have during this moment when she requires our massive support  decided to abandon her ,”.

The Forum had previously worked for Waiguru until last night when she allegedly accused it of supporting Azimio , a move she was grievously opposed to .
