Private schools star in the KCPE performance

Celebrations at the Good Shepherd Academy , Kerugoya after Joseph  Wanjao topped Kirinyaga County in the KCPE results when he  scored 419 marks

Private schools in Kirinyaga County  have made a staring performance in Last year’s KCPE  examination .

Worth  noting  is Joseph Wanjau who topped  the county after scoring 419 marks  at the Good Shepherded Academy , Kerugoya .

The 14 year old  star was not however available when the results were announced but his highly excited parents were right at the  school cerebrating the good performance of their child.

Good shepherd Academy proprietor Mugo Mutonge  whose school produced the top KCPE candidate Joseph Wanjao who scored 419 marks addressing the media moments after receiving the good news this afternoon. He is accompanied by the school principal  Jenifer

School proprietor Mugo Mutonge praised the pupil for having made it proud not only in the  county but across the entire nation .

Said Mutonge “ of all our 163  candidates the lowest child attained 300 marks  with  Wanjau toping with 419 marks,”

He added  that 25 candidates scored 400 and  above marks  after the results were released late this afternoon .

His parents who  accompanied him to the school expressed gratitude to God for enabling  their son to attain such a high score .

The boy has already written a book  Billy in the Robotic  Universe a move that has seen  his school receive a standing ovation amongst the rest in the county .

At the Efforts Junior school Eugene Njoroge topped in his class after he scored 416 marks.

It was song and dance at the Efforts school ,Kerugoya after the institution posted good KCPE results  with Eugean Njoroge scoring 416 marks  followed by Brigita Wacuka with 414 marks

School Director Kabui Mwai  said this results were better than the  previous year despite the  Covid 19 pandemic .

At the Master Education Center , Kutus , Derick  Murimi topped the school  after he  scored  402 marks followed  by his colleague  Ephraim Mutugi  who scored 400 marks .

The school is   located within the outskirts of Kutus town and  has a big catchment area due to its proximity with the nearby University, AHITI Ndomba and County headquarters  and right off the tarmac road .

At Alber school  , Kutus Wilfred Murimi  Gachoki led the  rest after he scored 416 marks , followed  by Ronny Muriithi Githinji 413,  Deng Magir Ajang 412, Claris Muringo Njogu  411  while  Baraka Muriithi Ngogu  tied with 411 marks respectively.

Wilfred  Muriithi from Alber school,Kutus who was among the best  KCPE candidate where he scored 416 marks

Those who scored above  400 marks were 32  while the school managed a mean score of 385.24 , according to its proprietor Nyaga Rigu.
